Honorable Nelson A. Diaz (Ret.) served the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania as a judge in the Court of Common Pleas. Following his judgeship, he continued his public service as General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and City Solicitor for the City of Philadelphia. Judge Diaz has trained lawyers and judges on alternative dispute resolution techniques, and handled thousands of mediations and arbitrations throughout his career. He received the ABA Spirit of Service Award in 2001 and was named among the 100 Most Influential Hispanics in America by Hispanic Business. He is currently a partner with Blank Rome, LLP.
