Honorable Arthur M. Monty Ahalt (Ret.) was appointed to the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County, Maryland, in 1982 and retired from the Bench in 1999 at the end of his elected term. During that time, Judge Ahalt maintained an active trial calendar, trying over 750 jury trials. He has evaluated the jury value of over 20,000 injuries as a neutral case evaluator for litigants in the Court's settlement practice. Since retirement, Judge Ahalt has conducted hundreds of ADR cases, acting as an arbitrator, neutral case evaluator and settlement conference facilitator for courts and private parties. He still occasionally serves as a recalled Judge in the State of Maryland.
